I don't know how or why but it seems we have gotten an incredible number of calls or e-mails
lately from people who know people or are praying for people with sick or dying children. I used to pay little attention to stories like that, but since waiting so long for our little girl and knowing her like I do now, I can't imagine what those parents are experiencing. I hope anybody who has little ones realizes how quickly it can change. Squeeze 'em a little tighter tonight.

On a happier note, our baby gets better every second. She had a little hiccup in the bedtime routine, she cried pretty hard two nights in a row. She has been sleeping a lot longer at night, though, (7-9 hours straight) which really helps your perspective on how fun babies are. She has so many friends close to her age and so many on the way. She'll have at least 6 more by next fall. I think fertility may be a group phenomenon and happens in waves, are there any sociologists out there that can back this up?

This is a great picture of my cousin Kristen, Carolina and Harley.

This was Carolina's first day in the nursery at church. Her mom cried, she did not.

My baby and my baby mama.

This is Carolina on the Balinese quilt we got from Matt and Vic.

  1. I love these pictures! She is growing up with the expressions of a child who knows how much she's treasured!

    Can't help it Kim, she's beautiful :)
